Travel by Train from Malaga Airport - The trains are very regular and very reliable from Malaga to Alora, running approx every hour and a half every day.
Travel by Train from Alora to El Chorro - There is one train a day from Alora to El Chorro departing Alora at 19.18 and arriving in El Chorro at 19.31.
Buses from Alora to El Chorro - The bus service to El Chorro is unreliable with only 2 buses per day coming up to us most days and the times seem to vary! We don't like to recommend this service.
Collection/Drop off Service - We run a Train station and Airport pick-up and drop off service for very reasonable prices compared to the local Taxis where you will pay 95 euros from Malaga Airport and 25 euros from Alora train station. We will collect you from Malaga Airport for just 50 euros and from Alora Train station for just 15 euros. If you can make it to El Chorro Train station we will collect you for free!
Directions Driving from Alora to El Chorro - Coming in on the A-357 take the Alora exit. Proceed to the t-juntion turn right. Ignore the first exit left to Alora as that takes you to the Town Centre. Proceed to the next t-junction turn left. Proceed to the next roundabout turn left. Continue up the hill towards Alora. Continue over the speed humps to the next roundabout, take the first exit over and down to El Chorro past an ice Cream Palour on the left with Purple Umbrellas. Continue up the mountain road towards El Chorro for approx 20 mins. At the Dam turn right to El Chorro. At the sharp bend turn right to La Garganta Hotel. Pass El Chorro Train Station on the left and pass La Garganta Hotel on the right. Proceed straight up the mountain road for 0.9 mile (bear left at the fork to Finca Campana). Pass La Almona Chica holiday cottages on the left. We are right up on the top road parallel with the Las Encantadas crag. Our Signpost and white post box are on the right. Follow our drive down to the right and at the bend turn right. Park in the parking area there. Walk down our driveway to the left and reception is up the small set of steps on the left. Just give us a knock!
